ABOUT VICTOR T. STEPHENS

"Do not let your peace depend on the hearts of men; whatever they say about you, good or bad, you are not because of it another man, for as you are, you are." ~ Thomas a'Kempis

Victor T. Stephens

Victor T. Stephens was born on April 24, 1955 in Suffolk, Virginia. In 1963, he relocated to Queens, New York. He received his education at Public School 147, Linden Jr. High School, and Andrew Jackson High School.

After graduating from high school, Victor was employed by Loeb, Rhoades, & Company... a stock brokerage firm on Wall Street in lower Manhattan, New York City. Discontented with a minimum wage salary, he elected to return to school to pursue a higher degree. He began his university education at Queensborough College in Bayside, New York. In 1978, he graduated with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Electronics Technology.

Following graduation from QCC, he briefly engaged in modelling and acting training at the Kahali Modelling School in Harlem, New York. A short time later, he began a career with the United States Postal Service. After a 12-year tenancy in Flushing, New York, Washington, D.C., and Capitol Heights, Maryland, he transferred to the North Metro Postal Service in Duluth, Georgia. Mr. Stephens retired in November, 2009 after 31 years of service.

Established as a man of few words, Mr. Stephens is a reserved and opinionated individual. He is very passionate about his hobbies, beliefs, and the moral fabric of our society. While preferring peace and solitude, he also finds comfort with true friends of ethical character. Mr. Stephens is an honest, loving, and faithful man. However, because he presents himself as reserved, sometimes he is misinterpreted as standoffish.

Mr. Stephens is a truth-seeking believer in Christ. He rejects mainstream counterfeit "Christianity" and the false doctrines/traditions of men in favor of the absolute truth of God's Word. Embarrassingly, Mr. Stephens is a former member of World Changers Church International. After several years, the Lord opened his eyes to His truth, and he withdrew from the aberrant teachings of Creflo Dollar. In the words of Mr. Stephens, "I elected to accept the Berean model by searching the scriptures for myself (Acts 17:11), asking God for wisdom to understand where I could accurately discern truth from error. After much profound study and research, I have ascertained that most churches today have, unfortunately, deviated from the truths of the Bible; and thus, cannot be classified as the true Church of Christ."

Without political correctness, Mr. Stephens is now a defender of truth, accepting his commission to expose false teachings within the church while encouraging others in sound doctrine. Exercising his passion for writing and website design, he has written several articles / books  and created this site to directly address some malevolent doctrines within many of today's modern churches. Victor is nearing the completion of his first book that will address the topic of church tithing. The book will be a vastly expanded version of his article / ebook, "A Closer Look at Tithing."

"Never compromise God's truth. Keep faithful in your work. Let your aim be as steady as a star. Leave the world alone to brawl and bawl. You may be assaulted, wronged, insulted, slandered, wounded and rejected. You may be abused by foes, despised by men, forsaken and dishonored by friends and family. But with steadfast determination and unfaltering passion, pursue the great purpose of your life that He has given you and the object of your being, until at last you can say, 'I have finished the work which Thou gavest me to do.'
