Cry For Life
Poetry Corner
By: Lewis E. Thomas
“Pro Choice! Pro Choice!” the cry of the day
“Pro Lifers! Pro Lifers!” get out of our way!
“It is our body and we have the right!”
Another baby is tossed into a dumpster at night!
Are there not two bodies involved in this thing?
But, the blood-cry of Pro Choice continues to ring!
Pro Choice: the freedom to grant life or death
“Let us decide if baby breathes that first breath!”
“A fetus of two weeks is not a life!”
“Just grant our request and stop all this strife!”
I have a question for all supporting Pro Choice
I’ll speak for the unborn; I’ll be their voice.
Let us consider a man who is ninety years old
He has ten children today and has grandkids untold.
He’s getting close to death and nearing the tomb
Let us journey back to him in the womb.
His mother has conceived and she beams with pride
He is a fetus of two weeks growing inside.
Pro Choicers would say, “It is not a life!”
But, this lifeless thing grew and married a wife.
It had ten children and grandkids galore
I wonder Pro Choicers, “Need I say more?”
They cry for Pro Choice, their reason is this
A growing fetus would reveal their promiscuousness!
Pro Choicers hold their banner high with a grin
They will stop at nothing to cover their Sin!
The unborn are defenseless; Pro Lifers are their voice!
Pro Lifers are their cry against the Pro Choice!
When a nation murders babies to cover up Sin
I’m sure that nation is close to its end!
Just when does life begin? We need God’s direction!
A life exists at the very moment of conception!
